ad:tech Awards Select NETexponent Client as a Finalist

ad:tech selects NETexponent’s work on the iChapters Affiliate Program as a Finalist for Annual ad:tech Awards.

NEW YORK, NY April 21, 2008 — NETexponent, an online performance based marketing agency, is excited to announce that their client, iChapters, was chosen as one of three finalist for ad:tech’s 2008 Best Affiliate Marketing Campaign Award. ad:tech is one of the largest digital marketing conferences in the world.   iChapters shared the top three spots with Schaaf Consulting’s Moosejaw – Growth and Profit campaign and Carat’s Philips Affiliate campaign. iChapters received a plaque to commemorate their achievement.  The ad:tech awards were held on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 in San Francisco and were based on a digital campaign’s creativity, purpose, results, and overall experience. This year’s awards received a total of 500 entries.  Through a highly targeted and effective affiliate marketing strategy, iChapters and NETexponent were able to capitalize on seasonality and surpass expectations for 2007. 

iChapters is the premier destination for purchasing textbooks, eBooks, and eChapters at a significant discount with the primary goal of providing students  access to learning resources.  Since the majority of their target audience is college students, iChapters and NETexponent collaborated on an affiliate campaign that gave iChapters the most visibility on niche affiliate sites during the back to school season.  NETexponent focused on sites already promoting books and educational tools and worked with iChapters to equip affiliates with custom creatives including banners, text links and a product catalog that helped enhance iChapters’ presence within sites.

NETexponent began recruitment and optimization efforts months before the Fall and Spring semesters in order to obtain early site placements.  Efforts focused on homepage, books and education categories, as well as newsletter placements. Together, iChapters and NETexponent crafted custom consumer offers and ad units for each site. Although the majority of the deals were CPA focused, iChapters and NETexponent also handpicked top affiliate sites with proven performance records for paid placements.  The combination of early planning, concentrated recruitment and optimization, along with personalized affiliate attention led to an overall increase in revenue.
