NETexponent
Welcome!

Welcome to the 5th Edition of the NETexponent Client Newsletter.  This month we’re revealing a successful media partnership campaign and highlighting all things new including company initiatives, communication tools, and team members.

Table of Contents

iChapters & Campusbooks - An Optimal Client / Publisher Relationship
Card ScaniChapters, a division of Thomson Learning group, provides students and education professionals with a wide variety of learning materials including full text books, ebooks, downloadable chapters, and audio books.  NETexponent formed a partnership for iChapters with Campusbooks to maximize their affiliate relationship and helped them reach well beyond their goal.

Campusbooks is a publisher in the textbook arena and although their main focus is distributing printed books, they do highlight the electronic variety making them a desirable affiliate for iChapters.  Campusbooks’ interface makes it easy for the user to compare book prices regardless of the format and select, purchase, and download non-traditional sources.  Having the marketplace to shop textbooks and ebooks made this partnership a win-win for both parties.

NETexponent’s Peter Figueredo comments on URLs in Direct Mail
Card ScanIn recent years URLs have become so much more than just a directional arrow to another webpage. Advertisers recognize that and are using them to their full potential to drive traffic, continue a conversation with customers, and increase user interaction.

Peter Figueredo weighed in on the subject in Target Marketing Mag.  For the full story click here

New York Post Recognizes NETexponent’s Workplace
Card ScanWe strive to provide a positive, fun, energetic, and productive work environment and the NY Post recently wrote us up for our efforts highlighting our annual pumpkin decorating contest.  Click here to read the article.

Congratulations Erin for winning our 4th annual Pumpkin decorating contest.  Erin's pumpkin pie entry was not only creative but yummy as we all had a piece after the contest. She will receive a check for $100 and one free vacation day.

NETexponent Cares
Realizing that it’s still 80 degrees in New York City in the middle of October, NETexponent decided we should do something about it so we’re going green!  We’ve done all the small stuff, replaced light bulbs, recycled, disposed of our disposable cups and are working hard to offset our CO2 emissions.

In a continuing effort to give back to our community, we’ve also implemented a 1/1/1 philanthropy program practiced by Salsforce.com and Google where 1% of employee hours, 1% of revenue, and 1% of NETexponent services will be donated to charity.  Employees are able to donate working hours to a charity of their choice and collective our team will choose an organization to benefit from our services.

See the “Facebook” of NETexponent
TumriWe've recently created a group on Facebook that you’re encouraged to join. Daily business matters should continue to use normal channels (email or phone our support team or your account manager), but we think there is an opportunity to cultivate more collaboration through FB so we're giving it a whirl. Feel free to use it as a fun way of connecting with the NETexponent team and our friends, clients, partners, publishers, etc. You'll need to be approved for the group, but we promise to review your request within a day. We already have over 100 members in a short time and look forward to seeing that number grow as the community thrives.

NETexponent Growth
Join NETexponent in welcoming new team members, Teresa Chen, Maureen Malvar, and Erin Monahan.

NETexponent Growth
Teresa comes with an educational background in biology and genetics, but oddly enough, a passion for marketing.  After spending time as a lab rat, Teresa moved into a marketing position at the Corporate Executive Board, a research firm for Fortune 500 companies.  Combining her knowledge in the sciences with her new background in marketing, she took on a position as Director of Marketing & Public Relations at FLAVORx, a company dedicated to ‘making medicine a lot less yucky’, and is now applying her experience on the account management side and the client side as a Marketing Account Manager for NETexponent.

Maureen has experience in online marketing and joins us from Doubleday Books, an online book provider, where she was introduced to affiliate marketing and worked exclusively with CJ and a broad range of publishers.  Maureen has a strong drive to learn more about affiliate marketing and looks forward to growing with NETexponent.

Erin joins us from two top rated radio stations in San Francisco, CA where she worked in the Marketing and Promotions department and developed strong skills in client relations and branding.  She enjoys figuring out the best way to drive a client’s initiatives and is eager to contribute to NETexponent’s success.

NETexponent is growing and in order to better serve new and existing clients we are expanding our family.  We are currently looking for the following positions.  Please follow the links for a more detailed description and application procedure.
